Hello! Please join us for our annual Parent Family Engagement Night at the Pumpkin Patch on Thursday, October 23, 2025, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., at the Calhoun Middle High School Baseball Field. Bring the family for a fun evening featuring a Story Walk of ‘Skeletons for Dinner,’ pumpkin picking to take home, snacks and drinks, a costume contest, games and door prizes, an art station, a Social Emotional Learning station, a special guest, informational vendors, and an attendance session on how attendance supports student success. We look forward to seeing you there! Immediately following the event, stop by and cheer on the Calhoun Middle School football team! Thanks to generous donors, admission is free!

📚✨ 2nd Grade Book Bingo is Almost Here! ✨📚 Join us for a fun-filled afternoon with your child and play bingo for books! 🗓 Date: Wednesday, October 22, 2025 🕐 Time: 1:00 PM 📍 Location: Pleasant Hill Elementary School Enjoy popcorn, excitement, and the chance to win books while spending quality time with your little ones. It’s a fantastic opportunity to encourage a love of reading and make lasting memories!

Reminder for Pleasant Hill Families:

Tomorrow afternoon, all Pleasant Hill students will be traveling to Grantsville to watch the Homecoming Parade. If you have not yet returned your child’s information sheet, please be sure to send it in by tomorrow morning.

If your child will be riding their regular bus home after the event, please note that buses may arrive up to 30 minutes earlier than usual.
Thank you for your attention to this, and for helping us ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all students!

🎃 Join Our Spooktacular Pumpkin Decorating Contest 🎃 Calling all ghosts, goblins, and ghouls—show off your wicked decorating skills and turn our hallways into a spooky showcase! 🎒 Attendance Matters! Missing School = Missing Out🌟

Hey students and families! We’re sending out an attendance "health check" for the first 8 weeks of school by sending home an individual attendance report for each student. 📊

Your report will show how often you've been at school with your percentage attendance for the whole school year so far —and it’s color-coded to help you understand your attendance status:

🔴 Red = 0 - 90%: Academically at Risk due to absences
🟡 Yellow = 90.1%–95%: Meets standards, but needs improvement
🟢 Green = 95.1%–100%: Exemplary attendance—way to go! 🎉

✅ Good attendance helps you learn more, stay connected, and succeed!

📣 Field Trip Reminder – Heritage Day at the Molasses Festival! 📣

Tomorrow, September 25th, Pleasant Hill Elementary students will be attending Heritage Day at the Molasses Festival! 🐝🌾🪵

Students will be bused to and from the festival and will return to school in time to ride their regular buses home.

This exciting event offers hands-on learning experiences where students will explore:
🍯 Molasses making
🐝 Beekeeping
🪵 Timbering
🧺 Basket weaving
🐐 Goat care
...and much more!

Parent Reminders:

Please have your child wear their BLUE Pleasant Hill T-shirt if possible.
Dress for the weather! Tennis shoes or boots are recommended, as the grounds may be muddy or wet.
If sending a packed lunch from home, please use a disposable bag.

If you plan to sign your child out after the activities you can do so on the porch of the community building starting at 1:30 with Ms. Saundra & Mrs. Haught.
