Good evening, Calhoun County Schools will be open tomorrow, Wednesday, March 6, 2024. Additional support staff will be available in Student Services at all schools for students and staff.

Join Ms. Deb every Tuesday at the Calhoun Family Resource Network (FRN) in Grantsville, starting at 4:30 PM, and every Friday at Arnoldsburg Elementary School, starting at 1 PM. Ms. Deb has been facilitating Parent-Child Groups for the past six years throughout Calhoun. All families are welcome to attend and engage in enjoyable educational activities, gaining valuable insights for incorporating learning into everyday routines at home.

Due to weather conditions Calhoun County Schools will be dismissing at 1:00 today.

Preschool & Kindergarten Enrollment
Enrollment Information
Calhoun County Universal Preschool now has enrollment packets available for parents to get children enrolled in Pre-K for the 2024-2025 school year. Enrollment packets may be picked up at Arnoldsburg Elementary, Pleasant Hill Elementary, or Calhoun County Board of Education during school hours.
The registration fairs are held to assist families in getting the necessary documentation for starting school. We will conduct developmental, hearing, vision, and dental screenings at the event.
All children who are 4 years old before July 1, 2024, are eligible to apply for enrollment in Pre-school.
All children who are 5 years old before July 1, 2024, are enrolled in Kindergarten.
Calhoun County Schools will be conducting Pre-Registration on the following dates:
Friday, April 12th, 2024, at Calhoun County Middle High School from 8 am-2:30 PM
Friday, April 19th, 2024, at Calhoun County Middle High School from 8 am- 12:30 PM
Please call Sierra McCormick at 304-354-6022 ext. 402 or Jackie Allen at 304-655-8616 ext. 110 to schedule an appointment. If School is canceled, registration will be rescheduled for April 26th at CCMHS maintaining scheduled appointment times.
All children applying for preschool must have the following documents before the beginning of the 2024-2025 school year.
Certified Birth Certificate (Vital Statistics Certificate from Charleston only)
Immunization Record
Preventative Health Screen with dental check and hemoglobin test (available through your physician)
Pre-K Universal Application
Proof of Income (W2, 1040, or proof of Government Assistance)
Completed preschool packets are due by the date of the registration fairs.
Any child; from birth to three, thought to have developmental delays, is also eligible to be screened for possible services.

What a wonderful day we had at the Calhoun County Social Studies Fair! 🙌 We are so impressed by the creativity and hard work of our students who presented their projects on various topics related to history, culture, and society. 📚
We would like to congratulate all the participants. The first-place winners will advance to the Region 5 fair held at Blennerhassett School on Saturday, March 9, 2024. 🏅
Special thanks to businesses and organizations for providing judges and support to organize the event. Girl Scouts of Black Diamond Council, Metheny Construction, Start Farm of Glenville, Burnsville Docks, Queen Flora Pagents, and our local fair coordinators and teachers at each school.

🌟Calhoun County Social Studies Fair Rescheduled 🌟
We are thrilled to announce that the Calhoun Social Studies Fair has been rescheduled! Mark your calendars for Wednesday, February 21, 2024. 🗓️

Bus #7 will not run tomorrow due to lack of subs. Students who ride bus #7 will be excused from school.

Calhoun County Schools will be closed today due to high water. Please be safe if you are traveling today.

Calhoun County Schools will be on a 3-hour delay today.

2/14/24 Valentine’s Dance is cancelled.
We are rescheduling due to widespread illness.
We apologize for any inconvenience.

Just a reminder!!!
If your student is ill to return to school they need to be:
🩺fever free for 24 hours without the use of Tylenol or Motrin
🩺no vomiting or diarrhea for 24 hours since last episode
🩺symptoms improving/controlled
